Start your first exploration tour in the island's capital Saint-Denis- you'll immediately notice the relaxed atmosphere here. The urban style meets colorful markets and colonial buildings. Stroll along the Rue de Paris, which begins with the Victory Column. You can see the sea in the distance, while magnificent Creole villas stand proudly in front of you. Do you prefer jungle fever to city vibes? Then make your way towards Cirque de Salazie, a basin that is hard to beat in terms of lush greenery! The slopes of the gorge rise up to your right and left, bursting with vegetation. And then you hear it - the roar of the waterfalls! It gets louder and louder until the flowing cascades appear right in front of you. One of the most beautiful is definitely the Voile de la Mariée. You'll discover banana plantations and bamboo forests everywhere and in the middle of it all lies the village of Hell-Bourg. Colorful houses nestle between hills and palm trees, while the smell of sweet crêpes lures you into the pedestrian zone. Come back to hotel for a tasty dinner and end your day with beach waves

The seething volcano is an absolute highlight of the island that you absolutely must not miss. You are just rounding the last bend of the Route du Volcan when the huge massif suddenly looms in the distance. As if spellbound, you observe the ash-covered La Plaine des Sables plateau, which heralds the seismic activity of the stone colossus in front of you. Now your hiking adventure on the island's last active volcano can begin! First, you tackle the smaller crater Formica Leo - the mini version of what awaits you further up. You make the energetic ascent to the main crater Dolomieu and are richly rewarded at the top: the view is unique! On one side, the dark basalt crater plunges into the depths, while on the other, the sea and sky meet on the horizon. And you? You feel like the king of the world! At an altitude of 2,632 meters, the clouds even float below you. They contrast with the blue panorama like cotton candy! On the way back, pay particular attention to the traces that lava flows have left behind in the rock in recent years.

Today, we are going local and enjoying the surroundings and what it has to offer, we start with Kélonia turtle farm (optional, payable on site). Injured turtles are cared for and nursed back to health there. There is a lot to learn about the calm sea creatures and you can observe the cute animals during an underwater panorama.Moving ahead, we go to Pointe au Sel. The imposing cliffs, where the surf crashes against the rocks, contrast with the calm natural pools that invite you to stroll along the beach. This coastal region offers you with wild nature and paradisiacal beaches. The nightlife is especially good here! With a cocktail in your hand, you can bring this adventurous day to a relaxed close - cheers!

The Plage des Roches Noires and the Plage de La Saline les Bains are true beach paradises with turquoise blue water and white sand. Then snorkel around the colorful reef and discover the inhabitants of the underwater world (optional, payable on site). The lagoon at L'Hermitage les-Bains is particularly rich in species.
